Submissions

Like the kid-goat that represents our brand, we are always on the lookout for a tasty snack.
We are also on the lookout for captivating stories and high-quality illustrations, both created exclusively by humans. 

Now is a good time to mention that we only accept submissions generated 100% by humans. That refers to both manuscript and artwork. 

At Kid’s Bluff Books, we are committed to developing and promoting literary and artistic talent in all its diversity. We seek to invite kids to develop a love of reading through stories that capture different experiences and cultures.

We welcome texts in English, Spanish and Portuguese and we actively seek to develop creative talent from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Perú and Uruguay as we work to visiblize children’s literature offerings from these countries in the United States and English-language markets abroad. 

If you are over 18 years of age and have a manuscript or portfolio you would like to submit for review, please send your query letter and sample text as a Word doc or artwork as a pdf attachment to: submissions@kidsbluffbooks.com 

Submitting your work to other publishers, too? No problem! Just note that in your cover letter so we’re aware of this. Also, we ask you to please note that:

• We do not accept manuscripts written by children.

• We aim to review submissions within three to six weeks of receipt. If you haven’t received a reply within two months, it’s safe to assume that we are no longer considering your manuscript.

• We regret that we are not able to reply to phone queries or follow-up emails.
